You're Invited to CAPI’s Give & Grow: A Celebration of Culture, Community & Resilience
For over 42 years, CAPI has been a pillar of support for immigrants, refugees, and historically marginalized communities in the Twin Cities. From our humble beginnings as a culturally-specific food shelf in 1982, we've grown into a trusted nonprofit serving over 12,000 individuals each year. Our annual Give & Grow event is a celebration of that journey—and a rallying call to keep growing, giving, and standing together.
Join us for an unforgettable evening showcasing the vibrant cultures of the communities we serve. This annual fundraising event features an inspiring lineup of performers, each offering a powerful expression of heritage and identity through music, dance, and spoken word:
Jesús Andrés Guzmán – Venezuelan violinist whose emotive performances blend classical technique with Latin American soul
Muna Abdulahi – Acclaimed Somali poet weaving personal and cultural narratives with poetic grace
Siama – Renowned Congolese musician sharing the rich rhythms and melodies of African tradition
Cheremosh Ukrainian Dance Ensemble – Celebrating Ukrainian heritage with breathtaking traditional dance
TaikoArts Midwest – High-energy Japanese Taiko drumming that will leave you breathless
Enjoy delicious food from an array of local vendors, representing the diverse flavors of the immigrant and refugee experience in Minnesota.
Participate in our silent auction, beginnning September 6th, featuring unique items, experiences, and community-donated treasures—all supporting CAPI’s vital work. View our silent auction at: https://www.32auctions.com/GiveandGrow2025.
This is more than a fundraiser. It’s a celebration of resilience, culture, and collective strength. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are new to CAPI’s mission, we invite you to stand with us as we honor the past and look toward a more inclusive future.
Come give, grow, and celebrate with us.
